I'm not knocking the thing- I'm just ignorant of its value. Maybe I don't have a full understanding of it. From what I gather people sign up to receive other people's twitters. That person then writes random thoughts throughout the day?
I know a low of celebrity types do this- does this mean there are people out there that really want to know every time Ashton Kutcher takes a crap or that Oprah finally fits into her jeans?
Maybe I'm just confused- someone enlighten me. |

I'm more upset that I have no idea what these things are until they fade out. I just got a MySpace and now I hear that all the kids are signing onto Facemask or something. When will they learn that Peebucket is where it's at?

| I don't get it either. All my friends use Twitter and when they explain it to me my response is always "Why should I care?" I dont see the appeal in seeing what everyone's status is every few hours or so. What happened to taking a few minutes to catch up with what people have been up to in the week? |

Maybe I don't get it because I would have the most boring tweets ever- that's what they're called right? Tweets?
Or maybe it's because I can't bring myself to be involved in anything that would force me to utter the words "I tweeted"...
and considering the fact that I post on something called Peebucket that's really saying something |

Just went to the site and had a quick look at the explanatory video.....
Hmmmmmm.....
It's aimed at people that text and use blogs...Just so they can let people know what they are doing while they aren't texting or blogging.... The normal day to day stuff. "I'm having a dump."
Sounds like another way of getting cash (one way or another) from attention seeking morons.
I'm not at all up to date so I know nothing, I care even less.
CathB, I'm guessing that people who use Twitter are called "Twits", though I can think of a few other words for them. |
